From outdoor drinks, to scarfing down festival food, to scoring an invite to the best rooftop parties, it’s a great time of year. It’s already mid-July, so make sure to squeeze in as many summertime activities as possible. This week is extra packed with things to do and zeppoles to eat.
Set a World Record!
Do you know how to play a guitar, mandolin or ukulele? On July 24th, Dylan’s Guitar Bar will attempt to set a world record for the most most people playing one song at the same time. The event will be hosted at Sinatra Park and the set list includes “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” by Bob Dylan, “Glory Days” by Bruce Springsteen, “Heroes” by David Bowie and “Sweet Jane” by The Velvet Underground. RSVP on Facebook.
St. Ann’s Italian Festival
This week kicks of the 104th St Ann’s Festival. Starting on Wednesday, July 23rd, at 7th and Jefferson St there will be live music, food, games, a daily raffle, and an adhoc beer garden. Make sure to line up for the Italian Festival’s famous zeppoles!
PRO TIP: If you plan on downing a zeppole or two (or three!), wear light colors and avoid black clothing at all costs. The powdered sugar will fly everywhere. But it’s so worth it. Learn about all upcoming Hoboken Festivals.
