Duh dun, duh dun… Pier 13 is showing Jaws on Monday, July 14th July 21st at sunset for their second movie night this Summer in Hoboken.The first Pier 13 movie night featured Back to the Future and unfortunately, there were some technical difficulties. Second time’s the charm, right?
Jaws is a smash hit by Steven Spielberg that was released in 1975. It started the Summer blockbuster trend in the movie industry, after achieving wild success.
The movie Jaws is about a small island Amity, that is being terrorized by a great white shark. After the remains of the first victim were found, the Sheriff wants to ban swimmers from the beach, but the Mayor along with powerful businessmen are opposed to this. When a young boy is killed the next weekend, his mother offers a reward for anyone that kills the shark. Soon, the town is filled with fishermen and hunters trying to claim the reward.
